Keith Gates: Music

Rex Spencer divides his time between teaching Interior Design at the Art Institute of Houston, shooting for regional and national interiors magazines and dancers from professional ballet companies around the USA for dance magazines, playing cello with four regional orchestras: Corpus Christi Symphony, Victoria Symphony, Laredo Philharmonic and the Lake Charles, LA Symphony; and traveling with his golden retriever. Before becoming a full-time instructor at the Art Institute of Houston, he taught at University of Houston, University of Texas-Austin, and HCC. He is a member of IIDA and AiH Campus Leader, International Interior Design Association, NEWH and AiH campus leader, Hospitality Designers of America, Bioneers, Rice Design Alliance, Houston MOD, and USITT- Stage & Set Designers of America. He has published three books on Houston Interiors.
